Curriculum
At Findon High School, we teach the Australian Curriculum and the South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE). This approach is consistent across government schools and ensures all students are considered equally in assessments across secondary schools.
Our future focused learning aims to develop critical thinking skills, creativity, collaboration and communication in our students. We provide innovative learning experiences for all students through a project-based learning approach where students are provided with design challenges, authentic problems and issues that require a collaboration, critical thinking and creativity to solve. Differentiated learning opportunities within this process also ensure all students can access quality learning outcomes.
To foster the collaboration and communication needed to engage in authentic problem solving, students are grouped into sub schools according to the years of schooling. This develops a sense of community as well as enables learning within an age-appropriate cohort and context.
