Our combination of original classrooms and newly redeveloped, multipurpose learning spaces, both indoor and outdoor, supports a future-focused approach to curriculum delivery.
Recent upgrades have transformed specialist learning spaces for Food Design and Technologies, Digital and Design Technologies, and Visual, Media and Performing Arts, while introducing a purpose-built STEAM studio. Refurbished classrooms and student amenities, along with upgraded ICT, security, and fire systems, ensure a safe and connected school environment where students can thrive and learn.
Findon Technical College
Co-located at Findon High School, Findon Technical College is South Australia’s first technical college and sets a new benchmark for skills-based education.
State-of-the-art facilities mirror real industry workplaces, giving students the chance to complete their secondary studies while gaining nationally recognised vocational training. With programs shaped in collaboration with employers across high-demand industries, the college provides clear pathways into apprenticeships, employment, or further study.
The Palms Special Education Unit
The Palms at Findon High School is a specialised learning space for students with physical and additional disabilities, including complex communication needs.
Forest Lane
Forest Lane is a vital part of our school community.
It is a welcoming and inclusive space that supports student wellbeing, inclusion, and connection, ensuring every learner feels safe, valued, and supported.
Forest Lane is home to our Inclusion, Wellbeing, and First Nations teams, fostering strong collaboration to support students’ social, emotional, cultural, and learning needs. It also includes key learning and support spaces such as the Learning Hub, Regulation Room, and First Nations Office, providing targeted, evidence-based support for students across the school.
Together, these spaces and teams work in partnership to strengthen engagement, promote belonging, and support all students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Yarning Circle
In 2021, Kaurna leader Jack Buckskin cut a traditional Kaurna shield from a tree on the school oval, with the scar tree and finished shield becoming a symbol of respect for the Kaurna people. We are committed to valuing and welcoming First Nations peoples to our school and prioritise learning about their histories as part of our curriculum.
The scar tree now forms the centrepiece of the yarning circle, important to us for building relationships, trust and a sense of connectedness. Used to share stories and knowledge through generations of First Nations peoples, the yarning circle has become a safe, non-judgemental and inclusive space where everyone’s voice can be heard.
Courtroom Classroom
Findon High School is home to South Australia’s only fully functional courtroom classroom, where students step into roles such as lawyers, witnesses, and jurors to explore fictional cases. This immersive setting brings the Australian legal system to life, helping students build public speaking, critical thinking, collaboration, and persuasive communication skills.
Outdoor Maker Space
The Outdoor Maker Space is a dedicated hub for prototyping and design. Students collaborate on hands-on projects that integrate multiple disciplines, encouraging creativity and problem-solving.
Discovery Centre
Our state-of-the-art Discovery Centre uses flexible learning zones for students, staff and the community to collectively come together to provide opportunities to learn, mentor and build culture together.

STEAM Studio
The FHS STEAM Studio presents so many creative possibilities for learning, but at its heart, it is a place for integration, activity, meaningfulness and awesome projects. Learning will be driven by curiosity, wonder and a commitment to play!
The Regulation Room
The Regulation Room is the central hub of Forest Lane. It is a dedicated space that supports student regulation and interoception, staffed by a member of the Rain Forest team.
Students who access the Regulation Room are supported through individualised plans tailored to their social and emotional learning needs, such as managing anger, coping with loss, anxiety, body image, relationships, and more. These skills may be developed through one-to-one support or small, structured programs.
The Learning Lab
The Learning Lab is a space designed to support Middle School literacy and numeracy mastery classes. It provides a welcoming environment with consistent, predictable routines so that when students enter The Lab, they know they are there to learn, be stretched, feel supported, and develop a strong understanding of themselves as learners.
