About Findon High School
Welcome to Findon High School
In 2025, Findon High School celebrated its 70th anniversary. Established in 1955, the school has a proud history of graduates who have gone on to achieve remarkable success, including three distinguished old scholars after whom our Houses are named: Malcolm Blight, Vicki Hoffman, and Michael Flynn.
In 2004, The Palms Disability Unit was established, further strengthening our commitment to inclusive education. In 2024, Findon High School became the first partner school of a new state-of-the-art technical college, giving students access to hands-on industry training through programs co-designed with employer partners.
In 2025, Findon High School also launched a Creative Industries Special Interest Pathway and partnered with the Academy of Interactive Entertainment to deliver a Certificate III in Screen and Media on site. The school is equally proud to offer a high-quality Tailored Learning Program and the SAASTA program on campus, ensuring diverse pathways and strong support for all students.

Current Enrolments
With 306 students currently enrolled and a target population of just 450, we ensure a supportive and personalised learning environment for every student.
First Nations Connection
We would like to acknowledge that Findon High School is situated on the land of the Kaurna people. This land always has and always will belong to the First Nations people.
We would also like to pay respect to elders past and present and acknowledge the pain and struggle they have experienced and continue to experience to this day. We hope that with the community we have at our school we can bring about change in order to live in a more respectful and inclusive environment.
Findon High School aims to value and amplify the voices of First Nations peoples within our school community.
Through enabling cultural learning across the entire student cohort, we emphasise the importance of understanding the history and beliefs of First Nations peoples and celebrate the Kaurna people as the traditional owners of the land upon which Findon resides today.
Reconciliation Action Plan
In 2021, we created a Findon High School Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) group to collaboratively write 12 measurable goals that promote reconciliation at our school. The goals and actions of our RAP are:
- mapping, building on and celebrating First Nations perspectives and histories currently taught across subjects and year levels
- involving First Nations people in the design and delivery of student learning and teacher professional development
- strengthening our partnerships with First Nations families
- celebrating Kaurna people as the traditional owners of the land we learn on with the crafting of a Kaurna shield by Kaurna Elder, Jack Buckskin, and permanently displaying it at the school entrance.
