Uniform Policy

The Findon High School uniform has been endorsed by the School Governing Council in accordance with regulations for its development and approval.

Our School Governing Council has given three main reasons for this policy and the strong support it enjoys.

  • The wearing of a neat and tidy uniform is widely regarded as a positive indication of a successful school, and one in which the parents and students have real pride and a sense of ownership.
  • The use of uniform is a cheaper alternative than wearing casual clothes. Our school’s uniform committee of students, staff and parents ensures that our uniform items are reasonably priced.
  • To ensure students’ safety it is helpful for staff on duty to have all our students easily identifiable.
Physical Education and Sport:

To encourage good personal hygiene habits we believe that our students must be changed for Physical Education lessons, students are expected to bring a change of clothes. On most occasions the school will supply appropriate uniforms for sporting teams who compete in our sports programs. Students may still need their own shorts.

Shoes:

As part of Findon High School’s duty of care and Work Health and Safety obligation at workplaces, students are obliged to wear enclosed footwear at school.
