Enrolment Process & Requirements
Briefly explains how to apply for enrolment, including general eligibility (e.g. school zoning or placement criteria) and any required documentation.
School Zone
Our school zone takes in the suburbs of Findon, Kidman Park, Fulham Gardens, Beverley, Woodville South and Woodville West. You can view our school zone on the Department for Education website.
Placement Criteria
Out of zone enrolment applications for students living outside the Findon High School zone may be considered where places are available within the relevant year level. All enrolment applications are assessed in line with Department for Education guidelines and school capacity.
Year 6 into 7 Enrolments
Year 6 students can enrol at Findon High School through the state-wide transition process.
The first step is the registration of interest for secondary school, which starts in term 2.
If your child attends a government primary school you will receive an information pack about the transition to high school process.
For students enrolled at non-government primary schools, access the registration of interest form via:
- the Department for Education
- emailing StartingSecondarySchool@sa.gov.au
- a hard copy provided by Findon High School
Other Year Level Enrolments
Other year level enrolments begin with the completion of a Registration of Interest (ROI) form above. All accepted enrolments are required to attend a Learner Profile Interview (LPI) with our Enrolment Officer and a school leader prior to commencement.
In addition to information about your student’s educational background, the following documentation will need to be provided before or at the LPI:
- A copy of the student’s original birth certificate or passport
- An immunisation certificate
- A residency visa (if applicable for non-Australian residents)
- Proof of address (e.g. utility bill or lease agreement)
International Enrolments
At Findon High School we enrol students into 2 programs designed for international students:
- High school graduate program: for students who have met a standard of English via IELTS test score or completion of an Intensive English language course and wish to complete their SACE at our school.
- High school study abroad program: students may choose a study abroad program for between 4 weeks and 1 year in length. This may also include a 10 week Intensive Secondary English Class course. Students enter mainstream classes to improve their English proficiency and develop an understanding of life and schooling in Australia.
